Characters: Sora; open to all
When: Day 10 !!!!
Where: Near the center of town
Warnings: G, for now
Summary: Sora wakes in Faciatta and attempts to find someone he is familiar with.
Log:

So it had happened again. Sora had, by now, grown accustom to finding himself an indefinite amount of miles from home. It didn't mean he particularly cared for it, he simply no longer went through the stage of shock that most people would go through had they found themselves on an entirely different world for no apparent reason.

He stood up and immediately looked around for anything vaguely familiar. It seemed likely that this world was somehow connected to the previous worlds he had visited. Unfortunately, no such thing was found. The streets were entirely different from any other place he had been. There were no heartless (at least not that he noticed) and no familiar faces. Maybe it wasn't the same place...

Sora checked if he could still summon his keyblade. Yep, still there. There was no need for it now though. As he adjusted his clothes (he had woken in a rather uncomfortable position), he noticed a small, hard object in one of his pockets. It was some sort of communication device, complete with directions. A good thing to have. He read through as much of the instructions as he could before he became bored, and wrote a message. If he was lucky, Riku was in the same place and would receive it. Why not try?

After he was satisfied with his entry, he figured it would best to head toward the center of town that the device had alluded to. He thought it'd be his best chance to find someone he knew.

Edward was sitting once again in the square on the edge on the fountain. It was becoming one of his usual haunts. There was something he liked about the place.

He had his side kick and was randomly scanning through journals to see if yet another victim of this bad joke would show up. Oh look. Someone was looking for Riku. Wait.....could that be the guy that Riku had mentioned to him a few times? What was he called?

Ed tapped the side of his head a few times. "Name, name, name...ahhh!"

He typed a reply and waited to see if his hunch was correct.

Sora received the message, and immediately responded. He wasn't gonna let his friends get away from him again.

He rushed immediately to the fountain, not knowing exactly where it was. Upon spotting the rushing water in the center of the square, he noticed a small, blonde boy in red sitting on the edge.

Sora called out as he ran toward the boy "Hey! Are you Edward Elric?"

Ed's head snapped up from his side kick. His blonde braid that had been resting on his shoulder shifted back to it's usual position on his back. His gaze fell on a boy that looked to be about his age. He had blue eyes and the spikiest brown hair Edward had ever seen on any human being.

"Depends on who's asking...who are you?"

"Sora!" he exclaimed, as he attempted to catch his breath. The combination of his physical exertion and his excitement at the prospect of finding Riku was quite a toll on his ability to speak clearly. He hardly took the time to examine the face of of the boy before he blurted out the only thing that was really on his mind.

"Where's Riku? I need to see him."

</i>SORA? The kid sure wastes no time. And he must have one hell of a stamina.</i>

So this was Riku's friend.

"Well then: in answer to your dfirst question, yes." Ed replied with a ghost of a smile. "In answer to your second question, I don't know. But he'll come back to the apartment sooner or later. Of that I'm sure."

Sora wasn't entirely pleased with Edward's answer, but he had spent enough time looking for Riku that a little while more wasn't going to make much of a difference.

"Let's go there, then!"

At that moment, Sora felt a pain in his stomach that was accompanied by a low grumbling noise. He remembered the tasty dinner he had been eating with Donald and Goofy when something had displaced him. It was after a long day of searching for Riku.

"But um.. can we get something to eat first? I'm starving!"

Ed nearly fell into the fountain - and it wouldn't be the first time - at Sora's sudden change in pace.

"Sure, kid, why not? You got any munny on you or will I have to take you back to my place to feed you? That is, if you feel up to being the first one to taste the stew I cooked - I liked it. Just don't know if someone else would."

Sometimes his brother complained about his cooking, but then it depended on what he tried.

I sure am making a lot of weird friends in this world. the blonde thought.

Sora patted down his pockets. He didn't mind spending his munny, but he was just offered to eat in the same place Riku was going to be. There was no way he could decline that offer, no matter how bad the food was.

"Is that a challenge? I accept!"

The latter statement caused Edward to laugh. "Hey, my cookings not THAT terrible. Though I can't compare to how my mom used to cook. Still, you'd have a hard time too if you had the crappy appliances I'd been supplied with. I sometimes think that going outside and lighting a bond fire like me and my brother used to do would make for better cooking that piece of junk stove in that apartment."

He hefted himself off of the side of the fountain and motioned for Sora to follow.

"Man, I have a bad habit of bringing everyone I meet back to my home...but I guess it can't be helped." he mumbled more to himself than Sora. "But if no one had reached out to me in the past, I might not be here."

"Hey, I didn't say it would be terrible."

Sora followed Edward at his friendly gesture. He was excited to make a new friend, especially when this new friend could bring him to Riku.

Sora started to plan his next move after finding Riku. Get Kairi, and find out who was causing all the trouble in this place. If a heartless was behind it, they were sure to meet a fast end, as it seemed they forgot to prohibit the use of his keyblade. Things were looking good already.

"So.. where are you from?"

Sora hadn't considered much about Edward, as his thoughts had previously been focused on Riku and Kairi. Knowing they were safe, his mind began to wander to the things that most the others had already thought about and discussed. It wasn't his fault his friends came before anything else, that's just the way it was.

"But it would be a 'challenge'. " Ed mocked, chuckling. " I'm beginning to have my doubts about where I'm from, but I was born in a place called Resembool. I was surprised you actually came looking for me. I thought you'd look for Riku or Kairir first since they're your friends."

Sora was surprised by Edward's comment. What did he mean by that? Yes, Riku and Kairi were his friends, and he was looking for them. Looking for Edward was a step closer to them. Was he doing it wrong? Would Riku and Kairi be upset? No, that was a stupid thought. They will be happy when he finds them.

"You said you knew where they were; of course I'm going to look for you. You can take me to them. Besides, you're also my friend, aren't you?"

There were moments in life where you just had to grin. This was one of them.

"I'm flattered kid." Edward said with sincerity. " But aren't you being a little naive? You just met me, what makes you think you can even trust me?"

Ed folded his arms. "For instance:have you once suspected that I could be lying to you? I mean, when I met Riku we didn't exactly trust wach other right away...though the more I talked to him I realized that someone that moody probably wasn't trying to trick me; if he was, he'd have acted a lot friendlier. But with me..."

Ed decided to let the kid digest that.

"Naive? I'd like to consider it having faith in the light that is within all of our hearts. Anyhow, it's not like I can't defend myself."

Edward's point might have meant something to Sora if he didn't so strongly believe that no matter what, he would find Riku and Kairi and help everyone leave this place. And it wasn't like he had much time to react, anyhow, as a surprise visitor had shown herself.

[[ooc: sorry for cutting it short here, I figured this would be a good place to work in the Namine. She said she'd respond by morning, so there shouldn't be too much lag. Hope it's no problem. I suppose I can change it if it is.]]

"Really?" Ed said, amused. Who knows, maybe the kid could hide his weapon like Riku. Absolutely nothing would surprise him anymore. " For your sake, I will that to be true. Otherwise, you might not survive very long."

Ed looked sideways. There was a blonde girl standing a little ways off."Oh look. Company."

It was him.

The boy she'd been drawing, the hero with the smile, the hero with the key. He was standing right in the middle of the square, like she drew, like she remembered.

He's here, Naminé thought, hopefully. He's here. Maybe he can help me find a way out. He's a hero. He can help me.

She came forward, hoping to have just a little of his time. But then an important question came to her: What am I going to say?

She stopped then, too close to be unnoticed, and she couldn't find any important words on her lips.

Sora had hardly heard Edward's response to his question on whether or not they were friends when a pale blonde girl appeared in his peripheral vision.

He had never seen her before, but there was something about her that seemed so familar. She looked so fragile and innocent, watching him from an awkward distance. She wasn't exactly close enough to hold a normal converstion, but she wasn't far enough away that he could say the cause of her staring was random chance.

Sora took a few steps toward the girl, careful to not seem threatening. Not that Sora felt he was threatening, but you never know.

"Hi! Are you new here too? I'm Sora, and this is Edward. I just got here today, but he's been here for a while."

He came closer to her, and he seemed so nice that Namine couldn't help but lean forward, a little toward him.

"...I've been here a while," she said, a little distracted. "My name is Namine. It's really nice to meet you, Sora...Edward." She smiled weakly, and thought of the pictures in her sketchpad.

It wouldn't do to show them, not right now when she was just meeting him. Maybe later she could find out if he could help her out. Maybe later she could find out if she'd been drawing him, or someone else very, very similar.

"We're going to get something to eat and then look for my friend! Would you like to come with us?"

Sora didn't know why he asked her. Maybe it was the feeling he had that someone would hurt her if he left her by herself. Though she had said she had been in the city for a while, a few minutes ago she looked as lost as if she had just arrived.

It was then he realized it wasn't even his right to invite her along. He turned to face Edward, hoping his expression would reflect his willingness to bring her along.

"You wouldn't mind, right Ed?"

Ed smiled. "It looks like this this is turning into a small party. Why not? The place isn't far. Plus, I don't mind company."

Ed thought over what he was doing for a second. How would Riku react if he came home and saw Sora? Personally, he believed it would good for the guy, but was that fair just springing it on him?

Ed felt troubled, and it probably showed. He'd already told them they could come. Couldn't back out now.

"Man." he mumbled. " Riku will probably kill me, but what can I do?"
